Colors by Llarowe | Spring 2016 - Tribute to a Wonderful Friend

MAGYAR verzió                                                                                                                                PR Sample

I have the Colors by Llarowe Spring 2016 collection to show you, which is a tribute to Leah Ann's friend, Helen, who's battling with cancer for years. You can read Leah Ann's personal words on llarowe.com (HERE). A portion of the proceeds from this collection will be donated to the Willow Foundation!
This collection consists of 8 shades, but there are a 4 piece "minicollection" launching the same day, and that one have 2 cremes and 2 shimmers. I will show you that 4 shade tomorrow, in a separate post.

The main Spring collection has wide selection of finishes, which I personally really like. Now let's see them one by one!

You Make Me Smile is a raspberry pink (I personally don't see the coral in it), it has an inner glow because of the holo, and the purple/blue shimmer. The overall tone is more cold, but I can notice a warmer(slightly reddish) tone on the sides of my nails. It's a really interesting and exciting color, even for me, who don't like pinks!
2 easy coats + topcoat.

Rare Jade is a slightly muted jade green crelly, with gold flakies. I really like this one! It looked quite sheer, but actually it builds up nicely, I only needed 2 normal coats (or 3 thin coats).

I'm going to show you 2 pretty similar polishes, but fear not, I will explain the differences, and also will include a comparison pic (taken in natural daylight). First, let's see Did You Know You're My Hero?, which is a muted light blue with tons of gold to pink to red irredescent microflakies. The flakies are much more intense in real life, I included indirect light pictures too.
This has really good pigmentation, 2 thin coats + topcoat!

Helen has the same gold to pink to red microflakies, but it has more green tone, so it's more like a turquoise color. I also noticed that maybe Helen has a tiny bit less of those microflakies.
This one is also really packed and pigmented, so 2 thin coats + topcoat.

Pretty in Pink is a cold toned, slightly dusty light pink intensive linear holo with pink and some warmer (red/orange?) microglitters. I really like how those warm toned glitters flashing up from the cold base.
2 easy coats + topcoat

Miss You My Friend is a light blue with strong linear holo. It also has tons of silver microflakies, to keep us interested when the Sun isn't out.
2 easy coats + topcoat.

On the Wings of Eagles is my favorite from the collection, even though it's not a traditional Spring shade. It has a brownish grey base with lots of gold to pink to red irredescent microflakes. In the bottle it looks a bit lighter, but it builds up to a medium brownish grey. Depending on the lights, it can have a colder, slightly taupe tone too, but on me it's mostly brownish-grey.
2 slightly thicker coats or 3 thin coats + topcoat.

Life is a Highway is a deep magenta with scattered holo and pink and purple microglitters.
2 coats + topcoat.

The Spring 2016 Tribute collection will be available for pre-order on llarowe.com on April 1st 12PM-8PM MST, or it's already available on stockists like Nailland or Hypnotic Polish.

See each other tomorrow, with the Spring Cremes and Shimmers, also don't forget to tell me what are your thoughts about this collection. Do you have any favorites?
