KBShimmer | Summer 2016 (partial) + nail art

MAGYAR verzió                                                                                                                                     PR sample

Katie from Harlow & Co. was contacted me not long ago to review the new KBShimmer Summer 2016 collection. I couldn't take the whole 12 piece collection, but I picked my favorites, so that's what I'm going to show you today. Plus, Katie surprised us with a 10% off code that you can use for KBShimmer products, how awesome is that! Thanks Katie :)
Now let's see my swatches of the 5 shades that I picked!

I never tried creme KBShimmers before, but I always heard good things about them. Now I can confirm, that they are indeed awesome! It's hard to find a pastel neon with a good formula, but this is really nice. I used 2 normal coats and it was perfect.
It's a nice lime (slightly yellow undertone) pastel neon. It gives you an awesome tan and in certain light it GLOWS!
It looks a lot like China Glaze Lime After Lime, but this one is a bit less neon.

It's a highly pink undertoned coral crelly with pink-purple-blue irredescent microflakies. On my skintone it looks totally pink though, I'm a bit sad about that.
It's quite sheer, I needed 3 thicker coat to make it streak free, but some people might will need even 4 coats, so hmmm... I'm not that impressed with this one.

It's a gorgeous rosegold metallic-holo. It's a colored jelly base with silver metallic flakies and lots of holo sparkle. I assume it looks a LOT like ILNP Juliette, but I don't own that one so I can't compare them, but what I've seen in other people's swatches I would say that these too are almost identical.
It's super easy to apply, but it's slightly on the thinner side, so you will need 2-3 coats depending on your application.

It's a stunning rosy toned nude shade (slightly dusty) with linear holo and I might can see some golden sparks in it too. It's a really pretty, elegant shade!
It's slightly runny, but it has a nice pigmentation, I used 1 normal and 1 thicker coat.

It's a royal blue jelly base with scattered holo and pink-purple-blue irredescent microflakies. The flakies stand out a LOT better in real life, it's a really pretty shade!
It's on the thinner side, so I used 3 thin coats.

As for the nail art, I used all shades besides the lime one. I think this color combination looks amazeballs! :D I wanted a summery, but kinda minimal feeling. I really like how it turned out!
It's completely handpainted!

  1. I really love your nailart! :) The colors and finishes are so great together.

    Love, Lotte
